What Patients and Clients Say About Me

My Advocate
Throughout this new life’s journey I know without doubt that there would have been no journey without an advocate who understood, comprehended and could foresee all facets of my upcoming journey — and see the most healthful path through the upcoming maze.
CLIENT
I can’t thank her enough for the way she supported us. She understands the medical language and how difficult it is for patients to process everything going on. She encourages my husband to speak up when he has desires for his treatment plans or questions about medications.
Client’s Spouse
Kelly has a kind, calm way about her and her values-based approach really resonated with me.
Previous Client
I can’t say enough about the efficiency and exceptional care he received.
Be proud of the work you do every day to ensure your patients receive the very best care.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions that you don’t see answered here, please contact me!

No, I am a doctor but I am not your doctor. I use my medical background to help you and your loved ones understand your health and navigate the healthcare system. I enable you to make your own informed decisions. I do not diagnose, order tests, prescribe medications, or treat medical conditions.

It works very similar to a virtual office visit. We meet by video visit (or in person if we’re able). You or your family member tells me what is going on to the best of your knowledge. I will ask questions to help me clarify the situation and together we will outline an Advocacy Action Plan. Then, if we decide to work together, I formalize the Advocacy Action Plan and we sign contracts to start working together. I often will ask you to obtain/share your medical records so we can carry out the action plan together. The whole process is tailored to your needs.

Hospitals and health care systems may employ advocates/navigators to assist individuals or patients within their facility. Employed advocates, while helpful, ultimately have an allegiance to their employer. I will be working we exclusively with and for YOU with your best interests at the forefront of everything we do together.

Services are billed at an hourly rate and are not covered by insurance. The rate differs by the package you purchase and how/when the hours are used. Keep in mind that the rates reflect my expertise and I am very efficient with my time because of my experience, knowledge, and connections.

As your patient advocate, I help you navigate the healthcare system, including reviewing medical records, preparing for appointments, and coordinating care. I empower you to make informed decisions, streamline care, and provide support for your family, loved ones, and caregivers.

Some advocates do communicate directly with your doctors and care team. My practice is that I prepare and coach you and your family to effectively and confidently communicate with your care team, giving you the skills to begin to advocate for yourself.

As a private patient advocate, I don’t provide direct medical care or second opinions. Instead, I focus on helping you understand and navigate your care, coordinate records, and make informed decisions.
